The Rooster is the middle daughter of the trigrams, who is the Tomboy, so it has Yin tactics that men don’t expect, but combined with the innate desire for fighting and using the raw power that men bring, and using powerful dynamic throwing. It’s a challenge to understand it, but once you grasp it, it’s really fun to practice.
The rooster is contrasted by the Snake system which is the middle son, who’s been picked on his whole life and wants to finish fights as fast as possible because it doesn’t like to fight. The power is yin and yeilding but the end result is yang. It’s ruthless.
So Jinbao sometimes likes to show them together because the snake is the yin (finishing moves if you’re overwhelmed or desperate) to the rooster, while the rooster is the yang to the snake (entry moves, assessing the opponent’s power).
