John, curious if you train to get through the striking range and then get into a qin na? You have mentioned your literal ‘head locks’ (I don’t know if you remember me but years ago I let you put me into one, for all of .05 seconds before I tapped), how do you go from striking to getting a head lock.

how do you go from striking to getting a head lock.

You have to enter through your opponent's front door. The easiest way is to use "rhino guard" or "Chinese zombie arms". You extend your

- left arm between your opponent's right arm and his head.
- right arm between your opponent's left arm and his head.

After you have separated your opponent's arms away from his head, you wrap his leading arm, lock his head, and then attack his leg.



You may also use "double hook punches" to set it up - either knock down his guard or knock down his punches.
