Where does the power come from in the internal arts?

It seems to me the internal arts are the best at producing Fa Jing or refined explosive power. So what are they doing that other external arts are not doing?

(No one seems to know)

You're far too obsessed with Fa Jin.

You'll find that the so-called "external" arts can demonstrate a lot more examples of refined explosive power than the "internal" arts. Watch any pro boxing or mma match to see solidly tested explosive, refined power.

If you want to develop fa jin, you need to find a teacher who can show you how to integrate whole body movement, relaxation, and power generation in a connected frame, against a moving target.

Forget the terms 'internal' and 'external'.

Each art has an engine/power generation method. Some of them are more related than others. I am not a Tai-Chi, Xingyi, or Bagua person myself so I will leave explaining the engine to those that train those specific arts.

Respond to the other questions from several other people in your many other threads and I will give you the answer...

Captainhindsight doesn't like to respond to questions - but likes to demand everyone else run around him:

I predict a similar pattern of behaviour here.. Don't hold out for a discussion with him/her.

Yes, and it's called trolling - to write something just to provoke an answer or stir up a discussion without any other intent.

He is most likley similar to other arts that never talked about internal 20 years back
Picked up a few terms and exercises from other arts and use them to fool the gullible in class and seminar settings

This is THE most blatantly-open troll behavior I've seen in a long time...

Enjoy it while it lasts... shouldn't be long, with this sort of attitude.

It actually makes me a little wistful..like coming across a breed of animal you'd thought was extinct.

C'mon all you old school board members lets have a group hug as we watch the noble dodo pass briefly back into the world. Fly free you magnificent fat bird!

Still happy :)

Try harder.

Maybe a ban for trolling will work?

Just want to say that is some masterful sleuthing. I never would have thought to look up a screen name.

It seems he is more of a vampire. Asking the questions and then letting the smarter, more experienced folk give up the goods.
